I am excited, humbled, and honored to share that my school and I are lending our full support to Venerable Karma Lekshe Tsomo and Sakyadhita Hawaii in the development of the La`i Community Peace Center.
The purpose of this project is to create a community resource center offering education and training in peace and non-violence. Programs will include training in meditation, conflict resolution, peace leadership, empowerment, and non-violent communications skills. The center will be located on 5 acres of land in Waialua on the north shore of Oahu, HI and will include an activity center, agriculture development, and natural meditation spaces.
It is such an honor to be a part of this project. Thank you to Venerable Karma Lekshe Tsomo for trusting us to care for the land and project in her absence. Special thanks to Sister Malia Wong for bringing everyone together. We look forward to building a wonderful space for peace and growth.
